When I need filler, it’s not black. Often it’s green…but now it’s just a garbage looking white with sync lines. And when a lift a clip from the timeline, it’s also garbage, but different. Why isn’t it black?

Filler was notorious for always never being LEGAL black, I recall that. But that was in SD days. Now I have it as act breaks and between bars and slate and it never gets flagged by QC.

What version of MC are you running? On what computer? OS?

Filler as well as the media offline slates are stored in a separate internal media database for all the supported resolutions.
Sounds like a corrupt database file or black media file.
I’d try an uninstall. Clean out and re install.

Thanks. A corrupt file sounds logical. Time to update to the latest MC version anyway, so this just might be the ticket. Appreciate it.

We’re still running 8.5 I believe. Long overdue for an update.
However, the filler has been an issue a long time.
I think Pat might have the answer…a corrupt media file somewhere. I need to update, so I’ll try that. Appreciate your feedback.
