    Just want to check something.

I have the Avid Express Pro (mac) at home and the Avid Newscutter XP software at work. If I create a project in the newscutter, transport the media and project bins home. Will I be able to open and work on the project with Express Pro?

I am thinking Avid Software is not backward compatible.

Someone please let me know my thinking is correct.

    Thanks a ton.

I’m not sure about going between MAC and PC but OMFI files should be compatible.

On a show that I am currently working on, we have Adrenaline systems for all the editors, and we have Xpress Pro systems that the story dept. uses to watch and create new sequences for us. It seems that those two systems are backward compatible, so I don’t see why it wouldn’t work with Newscutter.
