I am working on a mc version 3.1.3 and need to export a xdcam file 1080i 35mbs VBR to a drive to get sent off to the broadcaster.
I do not have an xdcam device to hook up so I can’t copy the blank file to the drive as many of the blogs suggest.
So, can this export be done on this version of mc, without loading a new plugin onto the system and is there a link to where I might find the necessary empty xdcam file?

What format does the broadcaster need? If the file is already in the Avid, and you can’t get access to the original file, then just do an export “same as source” from the Avid. It’ll give you the best quality (provided you imported at a good resolution). Unless the broadcaster needs the actual XDCam file. Then I don’t know what to tell you.

They would prefer an xdcam file but they agreed to take a QT using XDCAM EX 1080i60 codec. Now all I need is the xdcam ex 1080i60 codec, do you know where I can find the codec and will it work on my 3.1.3 mc?

    Thanks for the help,
    Brad
