AVID export no audio / And no playing in timeline
I just received a project and opened it using Media Composer 5.5.1 on a Mac. I can see the timeline a click around in it but it will not allow me to play it with an error message (relengsnow6_1297972714 AudioChannelCombiner). I generally work on FCP so I’m not sure what this means. I tried exporting the (video and audio) as a Quicktime, only the export is created without audio.
All I need to do is export this video as a Quicktime with audio to cut in FCP. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Are there any audio (or video) effects or filters being used, or missing from the original project?

Not that I can see. I was able to export the sequence as a Quicktime when I removed all the audio except from channels 1 and 2. My guess is something was corrupt on one of the other 12 channels or computer couldn’t handle it for some crazy reason. I still can’t figure out what the problem is, but this work around at least gets me cutting. Any ideas? And thanks for the help.

Just found out from the feature editor that the sequence I received did have some corrupt audio files. They had to go back a day to a previous cut and resend it.
Good news is problem solved, bad news lost a day!
