    Help?
I am editing a georgous kids show/project and have encountered a problem that I can’t resolve. I wonder if you can help.
The sequence is 1 hour 10 mins. But now for some reason it will not play – all the media in on-line – but when I go to play it , an exception message pops up saying –
Exception: DIDReader::SetPosition():tpos->_Offset exceeds the length of the stream
I can move the marker up and down the timeline and make deits, but it won’t play.
The timeline plays in trim mode, but not in timeline.
I have checked settingsbut all seems OK
This is happening, now, in other projects I have edited.
It has never happened before. I hope you can guide me out of this.
    All the best

Try trashing your MCState file (c:/program files/avid/setting), and see if that fixes it.

If you provide specific system details, that would help (type of PC, video card, amount of RAM, OS, Avid version…)
