    avid error with ama and kona hardware

    Using MC 6.0.3 on a mac running 10.7.4 with kona LHi hardware. I am using AMA to link to qt prores files. I frequently receive the following error message and have to leave the application and restart to get back on track. I’d estimate it happens about once every hour.

    AMEResourceManager::ReconfigHW_Legend BoB_Play()
    Error [2147483657] unable to: legendBoB

    Anyone have similar problems or possible clues? I’ve posted this in the avid forum and emailed AJA support as well.

    I would make sure that the Firmware is current on the card.

    uninstall then reinstall the software.
    Check with the Conflict Catcher (Resolve is a known issue)
    Then force the firmware upgrade on your card using the Kona Updater app.

    Rudy at AJA support solved the problem. I was using the wrong version of the I/O plugin 10.1 instead of v10.3.2
