    Hey everyone,

I’ve got an issue with one of the drives on my Avid.

After a crash about 3 days ago, the avid wanted to scan all of my available drives. all were fine except the E: drive. when it attempts to scan it will access 3 folders containing avid media

MXF 1, MXF 2, MXF 3, and OMFI as it scans all drives the error “omfiHPDomain_INIT_FAILED. msmMMOB.mdb might be corrupt” after i clear the errors. i get a windows error that the system is out of memory and the program quits.

The drive still works, i can add, remove, copy and open files (Quick times, Jpegs etc.)

If i Disable the drive, the Avid boots no problem, and works fine, but i cannot access the media on that drive

I have tried deleting, and re-creating the data base, but still the same outcome. anyone seen this error before?

And if you have any idea on a solution.

Thanks for any help you can give

Try renaming the OMFI Media Files Folder on that drive by placing an “x” or any other character at the beginning.

Does the crash still happen or not? If it doesn’t you have either corrupt media, database files, or the folder itself.
