AVID Error : ADM_DSOUND_MIXER_OPEN_ERROR
Friends, I bought a PC yesterday and Specs are following
Pentium Dual Core 3 GHz
Intel D945GCCR Mother Board
2GB DDR2
500GB HDD
IEE1394 Firewire Card
I installed Avid Xpress Pro 5.6,and when i Open the Avid it gives me a warning that “Exception:ADM_DSOUND_MIXER_OPEN_ERROR” and when i click on OK button Avid application is Closing.What can i do for open the AVID xpress Pro Application.I have a work pending.Please some one help me.Please…Thanks -

Take a look at the following link and you’ll find the most likely reason you’re getting this error:
Error : ADM_DSOUND_MIXER_OPEN_ERROR
Remember the specs of your machine must meet the Avid specs to be guaranteed to work.

My friend,
It solved by just getting a new PCI Sound card just for below 10$.The error is occured by realtek sound card.Avid does not Support this Audio card.anyway thanks for ur response.
