Avid DX serial connection?
I’m trying to free up some USB ports so am bypassing the Keyspan USB adapter for machine control. I’ve reconnected the deck via the serial port on the rear panel of the DX box but am not having any deck recognition joy from Avid. Can anyone advise?

Never mind… sorted.

That serial port on the back of the DX is not really deck control, we were told it was for programming the firmware. On a mac, you must use a keyspan.
