    Hey Everyone,

I can’t figure this out, I can create a 720 x 480 comp…simple background and text…and export it to Quicktime with the AVID DV codec in my render settings. The result is a QT file that when I open it has a grey screen, with dots on it (no motion).

I can take this comp, change it to 720 x 486 and use the AVID DV codec QT export, with the exact same settings…and I get a proper looking file.

Why is this? I thought that the native DV spec is 720 x 480…why would it need a 486 comp?

    Please help?

    -Jason

    P.S. I don’t want to confuse the issue, but I did run some tests, and I can export a 720 x 480 comp to AVID 1:1 & ABVB-NuVista codecs.
