    Avid DnX MXF AUdio Compression

    Hi,

    I am trying to find out when audio is encoded from a broadcast .wav file, along with video into a Avid DnX MXF is the audio compressed at all?

    I can find lots of info about the video compression but none about the audio.
    I will be using Assimilate Scratch Lab to encode from F65 media that will be synced to master broadcast .wav files.

    Any info on this is greatly appreciated!!

    No compression in Avid MXF audio. If the source is polyphonic (multiple channels wrapped into a single file), it will be extracted to monophonic MXF files. These will be PCM inside and MXF container.
