Avid destroying gradients
Hi,
I’m having an issue with Avid Media Composer destroying gradients. I have a graphic that was made in After Effects that was imported into the project. The graphic gets really crunchy once imported and exported in Avid. I’ve tried importing the After Effects graphic in at the highest resolution and at 10 bit. I’ve tried exporting from After Effects with different color profiles. No improvement.
Then I decided to recreate the gradient within Avid using the marquee. What is strange is that the gradient looks fine within marquee. In fact, I can export out a frame of it within marquee and it looks great:

But if I export that Marquee from Media Composer it looks awful:

I’ve tried exporting from Avid: same as source, quicktime reference, uncompressed…All with similiar results.
I’m working on Media Composer 6, but also have run into this problem in 5.5. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Any advice would be appreciated.
