I am still fairly new to Avid and trying to understand some of its quirks.

A number of files have appeared in a temp folder on my C: drive which have been created by Avid but seem to serve no purpose. Some of them are quite large and they are all called something like:

    $3B2026B3.t$m

    or

    AvidMediaComposer.exe.hdmp

which appear in a brand new folder called something like:

    WER2f60.dir00

I’m running Avid Media Composer on a PC and the C drive keeps getting clogged and fragged with these files – can anyone tell me what they are and if it’s safe to delete them?

    Thanks

    Alex
