    Avid Crashes when I trim frames or sometimes while applying transitions to a cut

    Hi,
    Forgive me if this has been asked- but I looked and couldn’t find anything.

    Sometimes it works smoothly, but other times while clicking on a cut and trimming it to the left or right one frame, it freezes up. The purple outline where I’ve selected the cut starts blinking. AVID eventually crashes.
    I’m running Academic AVID MC 6.5 on a HP iCore7 Desktop with Windows 7.

    Have you tried creating a fresh user setting and using that?
