  Avid continues … (Sales Note)

  It’s probably worth noting that Avid has announced over 10,000 sales of ProTools HDX systems.

  HDX systems (which are hardware and software) were introduced with ProTools 10 in Oct 2011, so that’s 10,000 sales in about two years.

  HDX is distinct from the software-only version of ProTools. I think an HDX system can be bought starting at around 11K, though trade-ups (likely included in the above figure) start at around 6K or so.
