  avid compressor renders black from FCP timeline

  OK I’m editing a sequence in Final Cut with P2 media (960×720) and I’m trying to incorporate SD footage with an avid compressor. The video plays fine in the viewer but when rendered in the timeline produces black. any ideas how to up convert my avid video so I can use it in said sequence? thanks
