OK, I’ve searched the archives, but haven’t found the answer.

I am trying to open a QT movie on a MacBook Pro. The QT has the Avid codec. I’ve installed the two codec’s from Avid’s website and placed it in the System/Library/QuickTime folder–no luck opening.

I’ve done this before on Windows machines–what am I doing wrong on the Mac?

same Problem – after instaling the AVID codecs, my AE didn-t start anymore.
The AVID Codecs are (right now) – not UB Versions! IT DOESN-T WORK!
Avid is working on the latest Versions my dealer told me.
So – Render with Animation 🙁

I found the following link on Frank Capria’s website which may solve our problem.

    Isn’t the Internet amazing?
