Avid Blowing Up Bins
Hello,
I’m currently working on a big archive project and recently we’ve been experiencing problems with bins containing sequences “blowing up”. This effectively means bins that were only a couple of megabytes blow up to triple that, size wise, and refuse to open.
What’s really tripping us up is that we can be working in a bin all day then, at some point during the day, the sequence changes and only when we close it we’ll find the bin has “blown up” and all it’s subsequent Unity Attic bins with it. Everything before the “change” is fine.
We’ve contacted Avid and they’re as stumped as we are so I was hoping someone else may have experienced this? Really, any help at all would very much appreciated. It’s losing us a lot of work.

A while back I ran into a similar problem and I think the source of the problem was some corrupt media in the timeline.
