AVID backup
Looking for a low cost backup solution for my AVID Lanshare unit. Have seen CACHE-A, pricey, tape solution. Not interested. I’d like to build a server….
Any thoughts……Cedric

We use a WD Sharespace that backs-up the Media Spaces and Avid Shared Projects every Sunday Night at around midnight.
We haven’t had a major crash for about 2 years, but it is nice to know you can get back to what you had on Monday morning if it all goes to #*~%… -

Can you tell me more about how you have this WD sharespace working. Do you have it attached to the UNITY or to a Workstation? What software does it use to backup the system? can it do full or incremental backups, or both?
