AVID audio cutting out when no footage on V1
Hi, in my timeline, whenever there isn’t anything on the V1 track any audio underneath doesn’t playback. The waveform is still there but the sound just cuts out. Say I map footage to V2 and leave V1 empty, any audio on any of the tracks just plays silently, but if I bring down the footage onto V1 it plays back again magically.
Crazy right?
I’m running media composer 4 with a nitrous DX on a mac pro quad core.

no it’s just normal captured mxf footage.
I’ve got an update / semi solution though, the problem stops if we play back in draft quality as opposed to full quality
