Newb here with limited tech knowledge so please be gentle.

I’m looking to purchase Avid Color for use with Davinci Resolve and noticed it connects via ethernet. Currently both ports on my Mac are in use but I’m connected to a switch. Does the Avid Color panel support/communicate over TCP/IP? Or should I purchase an additional ethernet card for my tower.

    Thanks in advance,

It’ll work over a switch. I run mine off a small 5 port switch without issue.

Has anyone used USB-Ethernet adapter to connect Artist Color straight to PC? It should work. This seems easier setup than having to get additional Ethernet switch.

An ethernet switch is the least complicated solution.

A $40 switch and one minute to plug in your devices and you know it will work. No software to configure or drivers to install.

Plus then you can use MC Color with any computer connected to that network. I share my MC Color between my Windows and Mac.
