  avid and xdfiles – import at lower resolution

  I am trying to streamline my sony xd work flow. The EX has no proxys so, I have found that I can import XD files, then transcode them to very small VC files, which is exactly what I want. But it is a time killer to import the original xd files and then transcode.

  Has anyone found a way to bring in xd files in a Avid compressed format without first bringing in the large xd files?
