Avid and Moving/Backing Up Files
Hi there,
I’m currently using Avid Express and would like to move all the videos in a specific bin to a new hdd.. The bin contains videos captured via a betacam machine. The main problem I have is that the previous guys used several hard drives as the destination, thus making it impossible for me to track. Is there any way that I can move these files to the new drive?

Incredibly simple.
Select all the files. Right click (or under clips menu) and select Consolidate/Transcode. You will get a dialog box in which you can select consolidate (this will copy your files) and the destination drive.
