    ahoy…
is anyone aware of conflicts or issues with having avid m/c(software version) and final cut pro(studio 2) on the same mac?
it’s a fairly new mac pro running leopard.
    thanks much.

I will tell you what to do, but you won’t listen. Buy another internal hard drive. Install the MAC OS on this hard drive. Install your AVID software and now you have a dual boot system, and everything will work fine. A new internal hard drive will cost you under $200.

But you won’t do this. You will whine and say “why can’t I just install the AVID software on the same boot drive as FCP”.

I have told you what to do, to have ZERO problems.

    haha….
    i’ll spare you the whining.
sounds like the safe bet if you’re not a risk taker.
    thanks for the info,

    Bob,
Is it possible to partition the hard drive of macbook pro and creat the dual boot scenario you just described?

    Thanks
