Avid and Edit* compatibility
I have several logs that we have done on Edit* and with the new purchase I need to be able to import them into Avid – any suggestions?
I also am planning on doing offlining on Edit in SD and importing edl into Avid for online. Unfort. I lose the source clip information when I do this. Any suggestions on the best way to do this?

A year ago I made the jump to Avid from Edit*. And I really miss edit*.
If you offline with Edit*, you should have no problem sending an EDL to Avid. I was always successful using Grass Valley format.
For exporting logs, I’ve moved each bin to a timeline and exported an EDL. The Avid lets you organize the files in a bin. Not elegant. But it gets the job done.
