Just set-up a Cubix with Avid MC.
Basically an Avid, Resolve and RED workstation.
We have the BM Decklink and RED Rocket hooked up to a Flanders.
Since the Flanders only has two SDI inputs, it would be nice to use the Avid Video out to the Decklink.
    Can this be done?
Im not even sure where that setting is in Avid since Ive been only using the Nitris DX (Meridien before that).
Its not in the Video Out option.
We dont need the Decklink for capture since 99.9% of our footage is RED.
We will always have the Nitris DX running if needed.

Avid Media Composer 6 works with BMD Decklink cards…ONLY that version works with BMD cards. And in order to do so, you need the correct BMD drivers that allow it to work with Avid MC.

Thanks Shane, checking the BMD site and cant see any extra drivers.
Ill check again or contact Tech if need be.
    Again thanks!

Also: you can’t have Nitris DX and BMD Decklink connected at the same time.

    Thanks Job!
Well that puts the Nitris DX to storage.

Actually, here’s someone who appears to have a trick for it: https://community.avid.com/forums/p/107841/624951.aspx#624951

Thanks Job. I tested it again with the HBA disconnected.
Still no go. You cant even see the Video Output option in Avid.
At least on my Intensity Pro setup you can access the BM card from Video Output.
I think Id have to remove the HBA card and re-install the BM drivers again.
Might have to rethink this whole thing.
I just want to use one option on that Avid/Resolve system.
The problem too is the RED card.
Damn Flanders only has two SDI ports 😛
