Another post from me but i’m learning thank you all your help.

I can’t seem to get a Avid Aiff to import into resolve.

The work flow has gone like this. Files are ingest into the Avid Media Files -> 1 as XDcam 422 50mbs MXF files brought into a timeline edited. Then a Aiff was exported

In Resolve i go into the conform page I click the load under the Timeline Management. in the dialog box i select the Aiff file. it loads the data and askes me where the files are located. I tell it to find the files in the Avid Media files. I then get a dialog box that say it found a bunch of info from the Aiff but 0 clips were loaded.

    am i doing something wrong?

Could be that the AIFF has not been exported correctly. The manual says –

A single 16 or 24-bit/48KHz AIFF or WAV file on an accessible volume.

If its not that format it won’t load.

I also extract the audio to a separate folder and keep them all in the same place away from the media to keep it all clean.

Well, the first thing you should do is load all the media manually and not use those options, they wont work.
Then I would actually export an EDL for the conform and see it that one does one track properly.
if so, try the AAF again.

Resolve doesn’t read MXF wrapped XDCam files according to their supported Codecs list, only quicktime wrapped.
