    Avid 8.4 30-Day Trial – Getting “Invalid File Name” when trying to open for the first time

    Subject pretty much says it all. I’m trying to do the Avid 8.4 trial and after I hit “ok” I get the rainbow ball, and if I switch to another application and try to come back, it won’t respond at all and I have to force quit. It’s happened 4 times in a row.

    Also, when I try to open the “uninstall avid” program that came bundled with it, that won’t open either.

    Any ideas?
