I just starting using Avid 6 with my Decklink HD Extreme 2 card. Two problems: 1) can’t get audio in to Avid from my board thru the card…2)While editing ProRes footage, the timeline doesn’t play down in real time, and my drives are plenty fast enough with FCP of the same project. Is the Extreme 2 card supposed to work with Avid 6 and ProRes footage?
    Thanks!

It should work just fine. Use the uninstaller and uninstall the BMD drivers. Download and install the latest package. do not use the CD that may have come with your card. If you still have problems, try changing the slot you have the BMD card in.

BTW, make sure you are updated to the latest Avid software and not v6.0 (6.0.3?) which is kind of buggy. Not related to your problem, but can introduce other difficulties. Avid 6.5 is even better, but that’s a paid upgrade.

    it should work

try the latest drivers 9.6.8 or 9.7 and MC 6.0.3 at least, although things got alot snappier in 6.5.2 im using one right now in mac pro 2.1 with 10.7.5.
