I’m cross posting this from the Avid forum.

Laying off out of MC 6.5.3 with Mac OS 10.7. I have two sets of 4Gbx3 RAM, a Kona 3 card with updated i/o and driver in the order that was specified in the manual, and all source files are on a CalDigit HD1 Raid.

It is going onto a Sony SRW-5500 deck. Input Ref is set to External, and Mac and Deck are getting fed the same reference from an external device.

The issue is that the video will occasionally insert a frame from the previous scene. Say during an interview, a random frame of b-roll will pop in from the scene prior. These are NOT showing up on the deck’s error logger. The Digital Output tool in MC is also selected to notify you on dropped frames, but its not detecting any.

Has anyone experienced this issue before? I have tried it on both MC 6.5.3 and the new MC 7 and the issue is the same.

    Shane,

There is a new Kona 3 driver which speaks to sync issues. Have you tried it?

    Latest driver solved it.
