    AVID 6 continually crashes on startup

    Hello- I just installed AVID 6 on my Mac and it always crashes on start up with a cryptic message,
    “Segmentation fault” in thread “mainThread” at address 0 x 0.
    then the MAc crashes. My system is OS 10.7.2. Mac Pro “Harpertown” 3.2 Ghz, 2 x Nvidia GT120 and 12Gbs of ram. Do you think I need to upgrade my video cards to say a ATI 5770, even though it appears that Avid indicates that the 120’s are fine.

    I can run FCP7, FCPx and Premere Pro 5.5 just fine.

    BTW, Avid Filmscribe, EDL Manager and Log Exchange all open fine by themselves

    Do you have the 64bit kernel enabled?

    YEs, it is enabled and I just checked it by reenabling it.
