Avid 4.0 MC on Lion

Since they don’t sell Avid MC 5.5 on Avid’s site anymore…how can you get it?

If you need iCloud, and if you use Avid to earn a living…then you should get two computers. One for Avid and earning a living, the other for personal stuff. Yeah…that is expensive and sucks, but what you have to do if you need to use older software, but need new features of new OS.

That’s what I have had to resort to doing.

I think they do sell 5.5. At least, they definitely offer the trial because they know not everyone has 64bit machines.

Or on stead of two computers, create two startup partitions on your HD, one that you can update as often as you want, the other for running MC on a supported version of the OS.
