AVI
Am i right that AE doent support .avi movie files ?
I have some to to use in a project but AE wont have it. The help files dont mention it as a supported file type.. and i am left wondering what i can do ????

After Effects does support AVI files. Maybe your PC is missing some codec or something like that.
If you have Adobe Premiere, open your files there and render a new AVI file using Microsoft DV Coded (or any other standard Coded…), if it’s possible for you, you’ll not have any kind of problem opening these new files into After Effects.I hope it helps.

I am on a mac (i should have mentioned this sorry)…Anyway i converted them to .mov using clener so alls well…
