I have a 90 min AVI file (DV Codec) from Premier and need to edit it in FCP 4.5. The file plays fine in QT Pro, but the audio is out of sync in FCP.

I tried copying it in Media Manager, same problem. I exported it in QT Pro to a DV stream and it needs to be rendered in the DV timeline. I’ll try this next, but thought I’d check here. Anyone?

Unlink in the time line and adjust the speed of the clip to match as close as possible or take it into Peak and slow it to the same length.

    Hope this helps-

Today, I exported a QT Movie instead of a DV Stream and all is good! I didn’t see that option and thought a DVD Stream was the same- Not!!
