Ok, I’ve gone through the posts and tried everything that’s suggested, from exporting directly from FCP, to converting in quicktime, to using Mpeg streamclip. Everything has one issue or another. The closest seams to be the Mpeg option, so I’ll base my query on that. I exported a reference file (not self contained) from FCP that’s 31 minutes long. I opened that in Mpeg streamclip, set it to export to AVI with Apple DV/DVCPRO NTSC setting, 720×480, 100% quality. It exported, looks like it’s the right size, but won’t open in any program. I should be up to date on all quicktime updates, and other avi files usually play fine, so I don’t think quicktime is the issue. It HAS to go to AVI, so going to any other format instead isn’t an option. Has anyone had this issue? Ideas? Thanks
