    Remember back when we use to have to make intermediate files a couple of years ago for the M2t files which didn’t work with Vegas.
    Well, I’ve pulled some of them out and those intermediate files even though they say .avi on them, land on the audio timeline as audio and not video. So all that footage is lost.
    I have wav files as well but they’re the same as the .avi files only smaller in size.
    Any way to see or put the files back on the timeline so I can edit and use them once again.

    Run a file through GSpot and let us know what it says.

    Here’s a pic of what it said:
    It’s a large file but it will only go on the audio timeline.

    The files are CineForm. Unfortunately, Sony stopped shipping the CineForm codec with Vegas Pro 9.0. You can either install your older version of Vegas Pro 8, 7, or 6 to get the CineForm codec back (FREE) or purchase CineForm Neo Scene ($99 USD).
