AVI Files…
I’m totally new to FCP, and I’m trying to edit an AVI file, but while FCP will open the file, it won’t play it properly. My friend said that they didn’t think that FCP reads AVI files, which I find hard to believe.

What is the codec of the AVI file? This can make a big difference is “editability”…
