I have a client who is giving me an AVI file from his PC
do I need to convert to quicktime files? Is there another option for the client to deliver to me besides AVI?

and if so, anything I need to know?

    Thanks,

    Paula

There are many flavors (codecs) of AVI files, just like the many codecs that can be in a QT wrapper. You may or may not be able to open all of them. What app is the clinet using to create the AVI and can they convert to QT in that app themselves? If so, what flavor of QT are you cutting? Have them either convert to that codec or to a QT animation file.
