AVI export is giving me unrendered portions of video
hi,
I am trying to do a quicktime conversion to an AVI. My final cut file is completely rendered, both audio and video, and plays fine when i watch it in final cut. But, when I export it with the AVI quicktime conversion, many of the transistions and cuts are showing up as unrendered when i watch it. “unrendered” flashes up on the screen where the cuts or transisitons should be.
Does anyone know what could be causing this, or how I could export a rendered/ completed version of my file to an AVI

Export a self-contained version of your project. Reimport it. Use the self-contained move as the source for your AVI.

The other way to fix the issue if you have very few real-time effects on your timeline, is to make sure the “Full” or dark green line is checked in your “Sequence/Render Selection” or “Sequence Render All” drop down menu. Then go ahead and render the few effects. This will turn the line above the effects blue and you’ll be able to get a clean AVI file.
