Didn’t know where else to take this question. I thought there used to be a Quicktime thread but anywho! I have a file. It is a .avi 720X480 and I can hear the sound in Quicktime and VLC player. But the codec is IV50. Is there a way to convert this without a PC with this codec? I already have Flip-4-Mac which works for .wmv files but dose anyone have the codec IV50?

Thanks for any information on this.

BTW I love during the 90’s when Microsoft would come out with a codec every 6 m

    Hope this helps-

    Matthew,

You’ll need to install the Indeo 5 codec after booting into OS 9. You should then be able view/convert the avi.

Indeo is not for Mac OS.
