I have a client who needs to view .avi clips. I’m having trouble converting them to be able to import into final cut pro. Does anybody have a workflow consisting of working with .avi clips and converting them into .mov’s or whatever would be good for FCP? Thanks!

I’ve tried. They won’t open in either of those.

Try MPEG Streamclip https://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-mac.html. It should do the trick.
