AVI CDVC Codec (Canopus)
Posted by Rafael Amador on April 10, 2010 at 11:16 amDear friends,
Any idea if there is anyway to transcode that inside a Mac?
My Google search tells me that probably no.
Any chance, or shall I visit any friend with PC?

I think you need to pay your friend a visit.

April 10, 2010 at 4:24 pmHi Arnie,
I guess that anybody working with Edius (Grass Valley/Canopus) will be able to open it.
I will try in a couple of weeks. Nothing to do in the next 10 days, this week we celebrate the New Year here (you are invited). Water, beer, and all the PCs in the country shut down.
Cheers,

April 11, 2010 at 1:01 pmHey Rafa
If you have Bootcamp / Parallels + Windows installed (or instalable) on your Mac then you can download and install the Edius trial ..you can use that to transcode to something a bit more useful to you. Or if its a manageable amount then you can send it to me and I’ll run it through the Edius here during some downtime for you if you like.
Best

April 11, 2010 at 3:34 pmHi Andy,
Thanks for the suggestion.
Tomorrow I will try to find somebody with Edius (very popular now around here).
If I’m not lucky I’ll fallow your suggestion.
Now I don’t have Bootcamp installed, but I have almost one week to get this done (my customer probably will be beer saturated for the next week0.
cheers,
rafa el
