    I’m trying to figure out how to deal with the absolutely inane way the AF100 names clips, and then how PP CS5-Mac imports them. All my clips, of course have the same naming sequence (00000.MTS through xxxxx.MTS).

    Does anyone have a workable strategy for renaming the clips with useable names (adding the date before the clip number for example), within this ridiculous file structure (the PRIVATE folder)???

    I found a workaround to this. You can rename the files in the STREAM subfolder, but CS5 will not recognize them in the Medaia Browser. You can still import the files in the file menu, but timecode will be lost.
