I shoot with Sony hdr cx-740 and Canon 5D. For faster post production want to convert both footages to DNxHD. WHich program to use to convert my Sony AVCHD footage to either of these formats?

The fastest way for this to happen is to create .mxf DNxHD files – not just QuickTime – so you can convert and drop into the MXF folder in an avid.

Squeeze has a preset (and will even generate an AAF for you.)
I managed to get Episode to do this, but there was no preset (took about 10 min of adjusting settings)
There is also Cinec but I haven’t tried it yet (PC only, free)
