I’m using the Log and Transfer window to import my MC1 AVCHD media files. In the preview of Log and Transfer the files play fine, but after convert them they show a flicker, some frames are duplicated and the image “jumps”. My material is 29.97 (the camera doesnt work with 24p) and I’m running Mac Os 10.5.8 with FCP 6.0.6. Tryed to install all the plug in’s that Sony offers but nothing seems to work. When I convert the m2ts files that the sony software for windows generates at toast and the converted files plays fine at quicktime.

I’ve seen this before, I believe it’s an issue with Perian. Go into your system preferences, and if you have perian installed, uninstall it. The use L&T to bring in your AVCHD footage, and if you need, you can reinstall perian after that. I don’t know if this issue exists in FCP7, but I definitely saw it in FCP6.

Was wondering if anyone has resolved this problem… I’m having the exact same symptoms & I don’t have Perian installed.

I used Toast Titanium to convert my material to AppleProRes.
