Hi guys, I’m sure that this has been asked 1000 times, but I’m in Paris and for some reason search is not showing anything…
A novice friends with a mac wants to edit his jvc Avchd but imovie can’t. I know premiere 5.5 on a PC can, and but how about elements on osx?
    Thanks!
    Mark.

Premiere Pro on the mac should do it fine too.

    Hi Jeff,
Yeah, I have CS5.5, but my friend cannot afford that and is wanting to edit home movies only, so there is no need for anything like CS products for him…

I suggested he download a trial of Elements to see if it worked, I DK if he was successful, do you know if Elements can see AVCHD natively?

    Cheers,
    Mark.

As a professional (like yourself), I have no idea of Premiere Elements work. Yes, I think downloading the trial is the best way he can find out.
