  • AVCHD files struggle on APP and other editing software’s (MAC)

Posted by John Mark on November 14, 2012 at 9:15 am

I’m using a Canon HF306 that records in full HD 1920 by 1080 and if you want to record in full HD the file turns in to “AVCHD”.

To convert the “AVCHD” files for it to run on the mac I use ClipWarp2 trial which works great, but when I want to edit using mostly Adobe Premiere Pro, Imovie and FCPX, it’s very laggy when editing, and it’s very difficult to get perfect editing done.

The thing is my Nikon D7000 which records in Full HD and no converting needed, already MP4, seems to run perfectly fine on all editing software’s. Help would be musch appreciated. Thank you.
