AVCHD files & MC5
Has anyone worked with AVCHD files in MC5? If so, would you please share your experience- the good, the bad, and the quirky.

I had some AVCHD footage from a Panasonic AG-HMC40 – just did a standard file import into Avid, waited while it transcoded the footage to DNxHD, then cut like normal. Footage looks good, plays smooth as butter, and haven’t had any issues with it.

Additionally, AMA doesn’t not support AVDHD so you’ll have to import the files rather than linking to them. Other than that, it works very nicely once converted to DNxHD.
