Anyone know of an AVCHD or H.264 hardware capture solution, preferably one that captures directly to SD cards? I’m looking for something with a high data rate for encoding so it translates well when re-encoded over to ProRes. I’ve been waiting on the Blackmagic H.264 Pro (which doesn’t record, just encodes), but they don’t have their max data rate listed for encoding, and it’s not going to be available until the end of the 1st quarter at the earliest.

If you’re going to transcode to ProRes anyway, how about using an AJA Ki Pro?
