Having some issues with stuttering playback.
Longer the project is open –
it gets weird here – the better the playback is.
I have imported from Media Browser,
    sequence settings match the footage.

I am on PP 2015.3, on an iMac late 2014,
32GB RAM. OS is 10.9.5. Staying on these older versions for now,
maintaining compatibilty with my workplace setup
    and other software we use.

I have never had these issues on this iMac.
Would I be better off batch converting to ProRes
or h264 and importing those files? And is it crazy
to keep sequence settings to match source footage?

No point in converting to h.264: same codec. Prores would be a better idea.

    Good point.
I think I solved the issue, the media drive was pretty full.
Moved things around and am getting much better response.

Lats question, one I have never encountered.
When I import the individual card folders.
list shows up highest number up top,
first at bottom. How do I reverse the ordering?

As an Avid guy, this is solved by right clicking
    ascending/descending order. I know
there must be a corollary in Premiere,
    but I haven’t found it.

    Thanks very much.
